Project Description
IMARES (Institute for Marine Resources and Ecosystem Studies, Netherlands) is dedicated to provide scientific support for developing policies and innovation in respect of the marine environment, fishery activities, aquaculture and the maritime sector. IMARES has a strong track record in marine monitoring, fisheries stock assessment and management strategy evaluation. Niels Hintzen (Vice chair of the South Pacific RFMO Science Committee, involved in many MSE developments within Europe since 2008) will be responsible for the tasks assigned to IMARES in this project. His role corresponds to staff category I.
