Content: This piece of work presents the methodology developed and based on a Suitability Index (II) to examine the adaptation of different locations to wave energy collection installations, the application of these installations on the Basque Country’s coastal shelf (between the coastline and a depth of 100 metres) and the results obtained in the estimate of energy potentials as well as the spatial distribution of these installations.
