Maite Cidad is part of the research team that has developed the Enviroscore, an environmental communication system for food and beverage products. She is Researcher at Efficient and Sustainable food chain department in AZTI. She graduated from University of Basque Country with a BSc in Chemistry Engineering in 2013 and MSc in Environmental Contamination and Toxicology in 2014. Maite has experience in performing Environmental Footprint of food products and diets through Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) methodologies in order to ecodesign new food products and diets and/or minimize environmental impact of food value chain. Her work is also focused on developing prototypes and multi-criteria ad hoc software tools for the implementation, calculation, verification, and effective communication of the environmental footprint of food products.
