Artisanal Fisheries Toolbox
Tools developed by AZTI to move towards ecosystem-based management of artisanal fisheries.
AZTI has developed a series of tools that provide small-scale fishing fleets with an intuitive and accessible solution for the control and monitoring of both their activities and the resources of the sea, thus contributing to the improvement of the management and sustainability of the sector.
The explanations of these tools are integrated in this Toolbox organised as follows:
- TOOL A: TOOLS FOR THE AUTOMATION AND DIGITISATION OF FISHING DATA FROM THE ARTISANAL FLEET
- Ebartesa devices
- Automation from R code
- TOOL B: TOOLS FOR THE MEASUREMENT OF GLOBAL AND LOCAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS CAUSED BY THE ARTISANAL FLEET
- Discarding and implementation of the landing obligation
- Horn footprint
- Cabfishman Matrix: physical/chemical biological/ecological and fishery impacts
- Moses Index: marine ecosystem use – economic impacts and ecosystem services
- TOOL C: TOOLS FOR MAPPING THE POTENTIAL BIOMASS DISTRIBUTION OF SPECIES OF COMMERCIAL INTEREST
- TOOL D: TOOLS FOR ARTISANAL FLEET MANAGEMENT
- Flbeia, ARTESA
