Aquaculture is playing, and will continue to play, a significant role in boosting global fish production and in meeting rising demand for fishery products.

In this regard, Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) methodology is on everyone’s lips as the “ultimate” method to quantify and improve the environmental impact linked to this, and any other product. Currently, the method is on transition stage and many doubts arises when trying to implement this at real scale.
