- Food 4 Future – Expo Foodtech will hold its second edition in Bilbao, Spain, from May 17 to 19 with the Netherlands as guest country to redefine the business model of the agri-food industry and produce food in a sustainable and healthy way
- F4F2022 has presented for the first time a new space dedicated to startups, the FoodTech Startup Forum, where they will be able to present their innovations and new business models to the industry, investors and business angels
2022, February 1st – The food and beverage industry has gathered at the first Advisory Council of Food 4 Future – Expo Foodtech, attended by leading firms such as Bolton Food, IBM, Lantern, Ibermática, Minsait, CaixaBank, Nueva Pescanova, Osborne, or Kaiku, among many others, to show their support and involvement in promoting the transformation of the food industry towards a more smart, healthy and sustainable one. This meeting was also participated by stakeholders, associations and public administrations in order to support Food 4 Future’s second edition and to add initiatives. The event which will take place from 17 to 19 May in Bilbao (Spain) is expecting to bring together more than 6,000 leaders of the foodtech industry with a high presence of international visitors.
Revolutionizing the food industry towards a more healthy, smart and sustainable one
Food 4 Future – Expo FoodTech is a business platform created for all food and beverage industry segments: meat, fish, dairy, oil industry, agriculture, cereals, canned food, and beverages. Under the claim “The Foodtech Revolution”, the upcoming edition of Food 4 Future will aim to position the Spain FoodTech Nation brand internationally and give the opportunity to professionals across the value chain of the food industry to find their technology partner to drive innovation in their operating model.
Automation, new processing techniques, new generation ingredients and sustainability will be some of the main themes of the 6 auditoriums and more than 50 conferences led by more than 300 speakers. Innovation is the transforming lever that will make the industrial revolution possible. F4F2022 will showcase the latest cutting-edge technologies applicable to smart agriculture, machinery and processing, preservation, logistics and transportation, circular economy and energy efficiency, among others.
The first day of the top-notched agenda of conferences will be dedicated to address smart food production in the fish, meat and agritech industries using big data or Artificial Intelligence. The second day will focus on the global treatment of sustainability, analysing new sources of proteins and ingredients and how they can transform the diet and consumption pattern of societies to be more sustainable. Also, the reduction of waste, emissions and use of plastics will be analysed with the presentation of new packaging innovations. The third and final day will look at food health and safety with the use of new technologies.
FoodTech Startup Forum will be one of the satellite events planned in these 3 unmissable days for any professional at the food industry. New this year, it is a space for startups to establish new business relationships with investors, industry leaders and potential partners.
Food 4 Future again has the support of the Basque Government, the City Council of Bilbao, the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, ICEX, the Basque Trade & Investment Agency and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food in Spain; along with leading F&B stakeholders and partners such as EIT Food, ILSI Europe, Food for Life, ERIAFF, FAO, Santelmo Business School or IASP (international association of science parks and innovation areas) that reiterate their support for this international event for the food industry.
